It rained for 9 weekends straight during this spring/summer wedding season. By the law of average we were bound to be sent good weather…eventually! Mother Nature showed up and blessed Allison and Joel with amazing weather perfect for their outdoor celebration! Allison hosted a morning Yoga session at the Hotel du Pont before the team from Gloss arrived to get the ladies ready, whereas Joel and his groomsmen enjoyed some grub from Capriotti’s while finishing up. Joel made his way to the gardens at Winterthur where he awaited the arrival of his bride, Allison, for an intimate first look. Allison and Joel were joined by our friends at Sharyn Frenkel Photography who captured the moment (and every moment thereafter) perfectly! The rest of the bridal party joined up with Allison and Joel to take some pictures around the property before the ceremony was set to start. Guests arrived with help from First Student Charter Bus and Wilmington String Ensemble played as guests arrived at the reflecting pool for the ceremony. A friend of the Groom and Bride, Baron Hill, officiated a ceremony that included readings from 3 more friends of the couple and took place under an iron archway adorned with fresh ivory and floral décor. Once Allison and Joel were wed, they snuck away for a few moments to soak in the moment before joining their guests around the pool for a cocktail hour by Restaurant Associates that didn’t disappoint. Honeybunches Floral Design was busy at work adding just the right touch of sophisticated elegance with green garland, lush florals and candlelight, while Synergetic provided the café lighting that filled the space and created a glow; both transformed the patio! Once guests made their way to the patio, Allison and Joel shared their first dance as husband and wife and their siblings toasted them before dinner was served. The Broadway Project played a set list that had Allison, Joel, and their guests dancing the night away under the stars! After some dancing, Allison and Joel cut their 5 layer cake masterpiece by the talented team at The Masters Baker. Studio 57 Production was there to capture everything from the morning workout to Joel’s dad hopping on stage where he performed a version of “Sweet Home Alabama” when the crowd went wild! I’m beyond thrilled to share with you the amazing work by Sharyn and her crew, enjoy these stunning photographs! Congratulations and best wishes, Allison and Joel! ~Kristin
